Stav Rose: Brand Identity, Site Design, SEO, API Integration.
Stav Rose is an Australian multimedia artist. Stav had been using another portfolio platform previously, but wanted a refresh. Together we developed a new website, updated their brand identity and optimised the site through SEO best practices.
Brand identity is comprised of a rose monogram, created with four ‘S’ shapes combined (below). The site features a neutral colour palette in order to allow the vibrancy of the designs to stand out, and to avoid overwhelming the viewer. Details such as ‘Subscribe’ button and active links are shown using a bright, neon yellow reminisent of the work.
Stav is quite confident with technology, so we developed this site using the open-source Hugo framework and hosted source code on Git. Code changes are detected by Cloudflare Pages, which automatically build and release updates via terminal command.
API integration includes a custom HTML form that sends the subscriber's email to a serverless function (Cloudflare Worker). That Worker then securely employs the MailerLite API to add the email address to a newsletter list (held on MailerLite).
